Position Overview
We are seeking a proactive and results-driven Business Development & Partnerships Executive to expand Next Step Fair’s network of exhibitors, academic institutions, corporate partners, and sponsors. The successful candidate will play a key role in identifying opportunities, building strategic relationships, and securing participation from organizations across Iraq.
Key Responsibilities
Identify, approach, and engage universities, colleges, schools, institutes, training centers, and companies across Iraq.
Develop and maintain relationships with academic institutions, corporate organizations, and strategic partners.
Promote participation opportunities and exhibitor packages for Next Step Fair.
Conduct meetings, presentations, and negotiations with prospective exhibitors and partners.
Generate new partnership and sponsorship opportunities.
Maintain an up-to-date database of leads, contacts, and partnership activities.
Follow up with prospects and manage the partnership pipeline from initial contact to confirmation.
Coordinate with internal teams to ensure successful onboarding of exhibitors and partners.
Represent Next Step Fair at meetings, networking events, conferences, and educational gatherings.
Prepare regular reports on outreach activities, partnership progress, and business development performance.

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, International Relations, or a related field.
Minimum 2 years of experience in business development, partnerships, sales, client relations, or stakeholder engagement.
Strong networking, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
Ability to work independently and achieve defined targets.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM or contact management tools.
Fluency in Kurdish and English is required; Arabic is an advantage.
Willingness to travel within Iraq when required.
