I'm Balen Salah Muhammed, a professional translator and editor based in Sulaymaniyah (Slemani), Kurdistan Region of Iraq. I graduated from the Translation Department at the University of Sulaymaniyah (UOS) , where I gained extensive training in multiple specialized translation fields. My academic background includes: • Simultaneous interpreting • Audiovisual translation • Legal translation • Literature translation • Scientific translation • Review and editing (ensuring translations are polished and error-free) • Subtitling for SDH (Subtitles for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing) I also studied Kurdish linguistics—including pragmatics and semantics—which gives me deep understanding of how to perform the best, most accurate translations for any text or subtitle project.
