Laro Shano Omar is a passionate performer and educator in drama and dance, currently studying at the Institute of Fine Arts – Drama Department in Sulaimani, Iraq. With a strong background in theater, contemporary dance, and cultural storytelling, Laro has taken on leading roles in stage productions, voice acting, and festival performances, showcasing Kurdish heritage on national and international platforms. Laro’s experience includes starring in “Shalir and the Witches of Macbeth” at the International Baghdad Festival, performing at the European Parliament to highlight Kurdish cultural narratives, and leading dance performances in major festivals. Beyond performance, Laro is also committed to teaching Sufi dance and working with children with autism, combining artistic expression with community engagement. Fluent in Kurdish, Arabic, and English, Laro also possesses strong skills in Microsoft Office and translation work, making them a versatile artist and communicator. With a dedication to artistic excellence and cultural advocacy, Laro continues to push boundaries in performing arts and education.
