Dr. Kaiwan is a specialist in Remote Sensing and Geographic Information Systems (GIS), focusing on Geo-information technology, a field experiencing rapid global expansion. He holds a Master's degree in Applied GIS and Remote Sensing from the University of Southampton, UK (2015), and recently completed his Ph.D. in Applied GIS and Remote Sensing for Geo-environmental Sciences at the University of Salahaddin-Erbil (2024). Dr. Kaiwan possesses extensive expertise in utilizing GIS and remote sensing tools to address complex real-world challenges in various domains, including geology, environmental sciences, climate change, water resource management, natural disaster mapping and management, urban planning, spatial analysis, and land mapping. His professional experience spans both local and regional organizations, encompassing roles in water resources offices, spatial mapping agencies, and digital cartography firms. His research and practical work contribute significantly to the application of geospatial technologies in solving multifaceted environmental and urban issues, demonstrating the vital role of GIS and remote sensing in contemporary scientific inquiry and resource management.
